Manager, Canadian Specialty Pharma (Sales, Marketing & Operations)

Company: PharmaTher Inc.
Location: Toronto / GTA (Hybrid)
Focus: Obesity • Diabetes • Pain Management
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer

Who We Are
PharmaTher Inc. is a Canadian specialty pharmaceutical company building a portfolio of specialty generics and in-licensed prescription medicines for obesity, diabetes, and pain management. We’re a lean, execution-focused team that operates with speed and accountability—bringing products from readiness to launch through to consistent commercial performance, while maintaining strong standards for compliance and medical/scientific integrity.

The Role
We’re looking for a Manager who can wear multiple hats and drive results across commercial execution and the operational backbone that supports it. You’ll help shape go-to-market plans, sharpen positioning, and build the systems and partner workflows that keep product moving reliably through the Canadian channel. Here is what you'll do:

1) Commercial Growth & Channel Execution
  • Build practical Canadian commercial plans: key accounts, channel strategy, targets, and launch/expansion playbooks
  • Strengthen relationships across the ecosystem (wholesalers/distributors, pharmacy partners, clinics/telehealth as applicable)

2) Brand & Marketing Leadership (Multi-Product)
  • Lead brand planning across multiple products/disease areas in obesity, diabetes, and pain management
  • Deliver effective programs across channels (digital, education, partner enablement, events) with strong compliance discipline
  • Manage spend responsibly and connect activity to outcomes (ROI mindset)

3) Pricing, Proposals & Customer Enablement
  • Support commercial proposals and tender/RFP-style opportunities end-to-end (inputs, timelines, documentation, submission packages)
  • Build pricing recommendations with internal stakeholders and maintain up-to-date pricing files where required
  • Prepare partners and customers with the right tools: sell sheets, training, product information, and ordering guidance

4) Launch Management & Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Help take new products from “approved and ready” to “live in market” with clear project plans and owners
  • Use market data (e.g., IQVIA and similar sources) to support business cases and launch assumptions
  • Coordinate launch readiness items (artwork/labelling, GTIN/UPC, product setup, internal codes) across internal and global partners
  • Work closely with Regulatory, QA, and Supply Chain to align on launch timing, inbound shipments, and release readiness

5) Supply Continuity, 3PL Execution & Operational Cadence
  • Oversee day-to-day coordination with the 3PL: order processing, returns, allocations, product changes, and issue resolution
  • Stay ahead of supply risk: monitor shortages, review inventory coverage, track inbound and in-transit product, and flag actions early
  • Maintain operational discipline: inventory planning (including obsolescence/liquidation when needed), customs/batch release visibility, and ongoing improvements
  • Run structured partner check-ins and quarterly reviews with the 3PL to improve service levels and reliability

What We’re Looking For

2–5+ years in Canadian pharma in a mix of marketing/sales, commercial operations, launches, and/or supply-adjacent execution roles

You’ll likely be strong if you have:
  • Hands-on experience navigating Canadian channels (distribution, pharmacy, major accounts)
  • Demonstrated launch experience and comfort working cross-functionally (Regulatory/QA/Supply Chain/Finance)
  • Strong analytical habits (forecasting, performance tracking, business cases)
  • A bias for action in lean environments—comfortable with ambiguity and accountable for outcomes
  • Excellent communication skills across internal teams and external partners

Nice to have:
  • Experience in metabolic health (obesity/diabetes) and/or pain markets
  • Experience with pricing/proposals and partner enablement
  • Bilingual English/French

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation will reflect level and experience and may include bonus and/or equity participation. PharmaTher offers competitive benefits and paid time off.
